1. How do I become a member of Active Duty?

It's easy to become a member. First, by joining, you accept the "Terms Of Service." If you have read and understood these terms, you are ready to join. So, you say you've read the "Terms Of Service" and are now ready to get your login and password? Great, go directly to the sign up page and within minutes you'll be on your way to membership status at Active Duty!

2. How do I cancel my membership?

Darn, leaving already? Bummer. But, if you have to go, you can click here.

3. I'm having trouble with my password. What do I do?

If you joined before 12 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on October 16, 2000, you can retrieve your password via this page. Just click on the link that reads "password questions." If you joined after 12 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on October 16, 2000, go to this page instead.

4. How do I become an affiliate of Active Duty?

Click here to visit Flamingo Bucks, our affiliate program website.

5. Why should I join?

It's pretty simple. You get thousands and thousands of original images, live shows, full-length streaming videos, clips and discounts on the DVDs we sell. Ready to join? Read the Terms Of Service and join now!

6. Is this for real? Do the guys know they are being filmed?

Yes. We do not do anything underhanded here at Active Duty. All of the men featured on this site are 18 years of age or older, proof of which is on file. All of the men are fully aware that they are being filmed.

7. Who is Dink?

Dink Flamingo films all of the videos featured on Active Duty and takes all of the photographs. Make sure you read the weekly updates so you can keep up with Dink. Feel free to e-mail Dink, too.

8. Attention AOL users

To get clearer .jpeg images, go to your AOL tool bar, click My AOL and then choose Preferences, then WWW, then the tab that says Web Graphics. Then uncheck the box Use compressed graphics.

This will increase the quality of most web images by preventing the AOL browser from converting .jpeg files into AOL's .art files. Any images already viewed (temporary Internet files) will remain .art files until your temporary Internet files are "deleted." Also, to ensure that you are always getting the latest updates on Active Duty, under the general tab the section addressing temporary Internet Files click on settings and then choose this option Check for new versions of the page every time you visit the page. This will greatly enhance your Active Duty visits.

9. Streaming Videos of the Week Questions

Question: When I try to play the videos, the license acquisition box pops up, but it never acquires the license:

The DRM technology that our site uses requires Windows Operating Systems in conjunction with the use of Windows Media Player (WMP). When playing a video, WMP should open and automatically obtain a license for members. The process should take a matter of seconds. To quickly check your system's compatibility with DRM technology, visit this link. If you are able to view the video, you should be able to view streaming videos on Active Duty.

If you find that Windows Media Player gets hung up during License Acquisition, make sure that "Acquiring license automatically for protected content" is checked on the Privacy tab of Windows Media Player. To access this area, in your Windows Media Player, choose Tools from the Windows Media Player Menu, then choose Options. Select the Privacy tab. Under Enhanced Playback Experience, make sure that "Acquiring license automatically for protected content" is checked.

Our DRM provider suggests that all users have the most updated WMP available for their respective versions of Windows. If you have Windows XP and are upgrading from WMP 9 to WMP 10, YOU WILL NEED TO FULLY UNINSTALL EARLIER VERSIONS OF WMP BEFORE DOWNLOADING VERSION 10. Use this link if you are not sure how to UNINSTALL a previous version before you install version 10.

Windows 2000/ Windows Media Player 9 Series
Windows Me/ Windows Media Player 9 Series
Windows XP/ Windows Media Player 10 & 11 Series

(Windows 95, 98, 98SE & Windows NT are not longer supported by Microsoft and do not work with the latest version of DRM)

Simply downloading the new version as an update to an older version WILL NOT solve the license incompatibility you may be experiencing.

The following link can be used to download the new version if you are currently using version 9 or earlier: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.aspx

You should set your Internet Explorer privacy settings to Medium to allow cookies. To do this, go into Tools on your Explorer browser menu and select Internet Options. On the Privacy tab, make sure the bar to the left is set to the third row of lines from the bottom. Medium should be in bold at the top.

There is also the possibility that your DRM Store on your computer is corrupted. Please do the Following Steps.

1.) Close all your Web Browser windows.
2.) Click HERE to download the DRM License Fix Program.
3.) When prompted to Save or Run the file choose Save, Save the file to your Desktop.
4.) Navigate to your Desktop then double click on the file (DRMLicFIX.exe)Then click on the FIX button.
5.) Then click HERE to Install the latest Security Component Upgrade from Microsoft: Click on the Upgrade Component Button when the page appears.
6.) Try to watch the movie again.

If you continue to experience difficulty accessing videos, contact Dink for further assistance.

Question: I'm using a Mac can I still access the Streaming Videos?

Some people using Mac have no problems with the Streaming Videos, however, Microsoft has officially announced that they will no longer be allocating resources to support Windows software originally designed for Mac OS. Before the announcement, we had hoped that the incompatibility issues between DRM Windows technology and Mac OS would be rectified. As a result of Microsoft's decision, we will not be able to support Mac users at this time.

Question: Is the Streaming Videos Of The Week Compatible with AOL?

AOL is an independent software program that eats away at your system's memory, therefore, most users trying to play the Streaming Videos through AOL will have a terrible experience. Please DO NOT use AOL to play the Streaming Videos Of The Week. Instead use Internet Explorer alone. If you have a dial-up connection you will not be able to access the Streaming Videos Of The Week.

It is recommended that you CLOSE all other programs while trying to access the Streaming Videos Of The Week. Most issues that arise with the streaming videos are the result of either a bad or slow connection or your system resources being overloaded. Therefore, when you decide to access the streaming videos you should shut everything else down to enjoy the experience at top quality.

Question: I get the following message. "Windows Media Player Cannot Find The File" What do I do?

Open Windows Media Player and click on the TOOLS Menu, Then Select OPTIONS. Then Click on the NETWORK tab. In the area called "PROTOCOLS FOR MMS URL'S" Make sure that the following Boxes are Checked. RTSP/UDP, RTSP/TCP & HTTP. These boxes must to be checked for streaming video to work on your system. Click on the Apply Button, Then Close Windows Media Player and TRy to play the movie again.

Question: I get a message that my Media Player needs a Security Component Upgrade?

Click HERE to Install the latest Security Component Upgrade from Microsoft: Click on the Upgrade Component Button when the page appears. This will install the latest Security Upgrade to your Media Player.

10. Streaming Theater Questions

Question: I'm having problems with the Streaming Theater. What happened to the Real Player option?

The Streaming Theater is provided by AEBN (Adult Entertainment Broadcast Network) and all technical issues should be directed to Kelly at AEBN.

Unfortunately, Real Player is no longer a working option for us at AEBN. Due to updates on Real Player's end that were incompatible with our system we had to remove it. We are currently working on a solution to replace it. For now, please continue to watch, using Windows Media Player. To ensure that you have the correct settings, please go in and open Windows Media Player, Go to Tools, Then go to Options, Open the Network Tab & check: (Multicase, UDP, TCP and leave HTTP checked. This will give you the best viewing capabilities with Windows Media Player.

11. LIVE Show Questions

Question: I'm having problems watching the LIVE Shows. Everyone else seems to be watching the show fine, but I still have a black screen. What should I do?

Once you've established that the LIVE feed is being viewed by others in the chat room and you are still not getting the feed, simply right click in the red area of the LIVE Interface and choose "Refresh." Once you've done this, sign back into the chat room and allow about 10 seconds and the feed should appear for you. If you are still not getting the feed and it's apparent that others are then it's probably an issue on your end with your system.

Question: The LIVE Show feed is frozen or freezes on my system periodically what should I do?

Occasionally you will experience a "freeze" during the Live Shows which is the result of either your system resources being over-strained or simply that the show has a lot of viewers. In any case, the freeze should stop in a few seconds and the LIVE feed should resume playing. If it does not, try refreshing again.

Question: I'm having problems viewing the LIVE Show Archives. When I choose a LIVE Show Archive I can't get the Archived show to appear. What can I do about this?

I've found the best solution to this problem is to simply open your Windows Media Player BEFORE you attempt to watch a LIVE Show Archive. Once you've opened your Window's Media Player then choose the Archived Show you'd like to watch. It'll open just fine.

12. Video Clips of the Week Section

Question: I'm having a problem with the video clips. I can hear the audio but there's no picture. What can I do to solve this issue?

There is a simple solution to this issue that almost always solves it. Right Click on the Clip Link you wish to view and choose "OPEN IN NEW WINDOW" this should sove the problem.
